Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:
Wellness Exams: Wellness exams or visits include a complete physical exam from your veterinarian, from head to tail, as well as nutritional and behavior advice if needed. Most pets are well served with an annual check up. Once your pet is considered mature, 7 years of age for dogs and 9 years of age for cats, he or she should be seen every 6-12 months.
Surgery: Our surgical suite is equipped with the most modern technology, including a SurgiVet Monitor, and animal-safe Isoflurane anesthesia gas. Each surgery is performed by a veterinarian and assisted by 1-2 additional surgical nurses, meaning there are at least 4 eyes monitoring your pet at all times.
Dental Cleanings: Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, digital x-rays, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery.
Laboratory: No more waiting days for results - Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.
Digital x-Rays: Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, digital x-rays, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery.
Canine Education Classes: Our classes are led by our own Certified Veterinary Technician, Tracy Ingoldsby, who is a member of the Veterinary Behavior Technician Associations as well as the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT)
Permanent identification: We offer microchip identification.
Pharmacy: We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line of prescription diets.
Individualized Flea Control Programs: We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house and on your pet.
Dietary Counseling: We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.
Behavioral Counseling: We provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression.
Emergency Care: Please call our main telephone number for instructions for after-hour emergencies.
